Social Media Manager

Summary

At Toyota of Cedar Park, we believe in driving connections, community, and creating experiences our customers love. We’re looking for a passionate, creative, and detail-oriented marketing professional to help tell our story and engage with our audience across multiple platforms. The Social Media Manager uses their analytical skills and strong attention to create and maintain Toyota of Cedar Park’s social media platforms. Assists with various marketing duties as needed including digital platforms, sponsor, chamber, and vendor communication. Assists with department projects and responsibilities along with marketing and company events. This position supports the work of the Marketing & Community Relations Director and helps achieve marketing goals set forth by the Marketing Director and General Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, Google Business Profile) and current trends.
  • Proven ability to create and manage content calendars, campaigns, and community engagement strategies.
  • Skilled in paid advertising campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads, YouTube pre-roll, etc.).
  • Competence with analytics and reporting tools to track KPIs and optimize performance.
  • Photography/videography skills and proficiency in editing software (Canva, CapCut, etc.).
  • Ability to write engaging, brand-appropriate copy for multiple audiences.
  • Experience with influencer partnerships, giveaways, and reputation management.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and/or retail marketing preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Screen-write social media creative content and monthly commercials for all automotive dealerships.
  • Post to various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, and Google Business Profile (on average 3 to 5x a week).
  • Follow up and reply to social media comments within a timely period.
  • Assist Marketing Director to create and oversee social media content calendar weekly.
  • Attend various networking events and promote Toyota of Cedar Park and City Limits Subaru.
  • Maintain and regularly update all chamber and Better Business Bureau listings.
  • Update shared monthly event trackers and sponsorship documents for dealerships.
  • Assist with graphic design, Constant Contact, and Canva creation for social media and dealership events.
  • Take staff photos weekly for all three stores and update the websites daily.
  • Send updated monthly graphics to partnering chambers monthly (Leander, Liberty Hill, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Austin, Buda, Kyle, Dripping Springs, San Marcos, and minority chambers).
  • Update chamber websites with HOT deals.
  • Event management and execution coordinating with store leadership and sales advisor attendees.
  • Submit event preapprovals and more to automotive compliance sites.
  • Implement monthly "Incentive Day" updates, including disclaimers, ad campaigns, etc., on SEM and social platforms, as well as dealership websites.
  • Assist digital marketing manager with day-to-day management of dealership websites and functionality, including helping to solve inventory issues, UX issues, keeping disclaimers and ads up to date, etc.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Canva, social media platforms, Google Analytics, WordPress, and budget organization.
  • Must maintain a clean and valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent organizational skills to help manage schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to support the marketing team.
  • Willingness to learn analytics and reporting for growth opportunities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Adept with digital storage and organization.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, pre-event planning requires the distribution of vendor set-up items (tents, tables, large boxes of supplies.) Some standing and walking are required. This position requires the ability to lift boxes and files, reach and open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, and climb stairs as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, onsite position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Evening, holiday, after-hours, and weekend work may be required as events and job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires travel to other dealership and event venues approximately 50% of the time.

Valid driver's license is required, and all applicants must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
