Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Prepare and post journal entries as necessary
Assist in the monthly closing of accounting records and generation of financial reports for management review
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations monthly
Record depreciation monthly and prepare capital expenditure reporting for our parent company
Upload P-card transactions weekly and ensure P-card compliance across the company
Maintain region-level controls on various areas including customer and equipment
Debt statement management and coordination with the parent company and five subsidiaries
Assist with the development of streamlining procedures within the department to improve efficiency
Assist with internal and external audits
Preparation of Sales Tax filings for the Texas region and conducting monthly internal reviews to ensure appropriate accounting
Review expense reports in Concur and ensure compliance with company guidance
Assist the Controller with other tasks and duties as they may arise
Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors or equivalent in finance or accounting. Masters or other advanced studies preferred.
3+ years’ of related work experience
Preferred experience in Viewpoint and Hyperion
Advanced Excel skills
Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves
Strong organizational and communicational skills
Detail oriented
Ability to filter, sort, and create PIVOT tables in Excel
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Self-motivated to deliver with a sense of urgency on priorities

The position is located in Austin, Texas at the CRH Americas Materials Texas Region office; however remote position is acceptable with travel to the office as needed.
