Your Impact at SAM

- The geomatics instrument operator uses a variety of land survey instruments to support a crew in their daily operations \n
- Assists in the completion of field surveys under the supervision of a Crew Chief \n
- Responsible for the operation, checking and basic field adjustments of land survey equipment. E.g. tripods, tribrachs, levels, total stations, GNSS receivers, data radios/modems \n
- Utilize survey controllers and software to collect geospatial data and perform survey computations \n
- Read and interpret various types of maps and plans \n
- Complete neat and orderly field notes for land survey operations with supervision from Crew Chief \n
- Keeps Crew Chief informed of problems and progress \n
- Load and unload trucks with land survey equipment and supplies \n
- Clean and maintain land survey equipment, tools and vehicle \n
- Follow company safety procedures for land survey operations \n
What You Bring to SAM
- \n
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent \n
- Possession of a valid, current driver’s license \n
- One year industry experience \n
- Knowledgeable in the principles and performance of basic types of surveys, survey computations, and field operations \n
- Ability to work continually outside in all types of weather conditions and terrain \n
- Ability to work out of town, in remote locations, for extended periods of time \n
