Position Summary

MIRA Safety is seeking a hands-on, execution-driven Operations Manager to lead and integrate Quality Assurance, manufacturing/assembly operations, supply chain, fulfillment, and inventory management.

This role is responsible not only for overseeing daily operations but also for actively building, optimizing, and running our assembly line operations. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing experience, a deep understanding of quality systems, and the ability to translate data into operational improvements through business intelligence and KPI tracking.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role requiring strong technical capability, supply chain expertise, and operational discipline.


Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Assembly Operations

  • Lead setup, optimization, and day-to-day execution of assembly line operations.

  • Develop standardized work instructions and ensure production efficiency.

  • Drive LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable process improvements.

  • Ensure production meets quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Own and lead Quality Assurance (QA) across operations and assembly.

  • Establish and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Ensure conformance to quality standards with parts suppliers and manufacturing partners (including PPAP processes).

  • Maintain compliance with NIOSH and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Implement inspection, testing, and documentation processes.

  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.

Supply Chain & Inventory Management

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, forecasting, and vendor management.

  • Develop demand forecasts aligned with dynamic market conditions.

  • Manage finished goods suppliers and manufacturing partners.

  • Ensure inventory accuracy and optimize stock levels to balance cash flow and service levels.

  • Implement inventory control best practices and cycle counting programs.

Warehouse, Fulfillment & Logistics

  • Oversee warehouse operations, Amazon fulfillment, and 3PL relationships.

  • Improve WMS systems, logistics tools, and RFID or tracking capabilities.

  • Ensure on-time delivery and fulfillment accuracy.

  • Streamline material flow from inbound receiving to outbound shipment.

Business Intelligence & KPI Management

  • Develop dashboards and reporting systems to track operational KPIs including:

    • Production output

    • Quality metrics

    • Inventory turnover

    • Fulfillment accuracy

    • Cost control

  • Leverage data analytics to drive strategic operational decisions.

  • Utilize advanced Excel and BI tools to improve forecasting and visibility.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead and develop operations staff across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and compliance.

  • Partner with leadership on scaling infrastructure and operational capabilities.

  • Collaborate with HR on hiring, onboarding, and performance management.

  • Build a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications & Preferred Background

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing or assembly environment

  • Hands-on experience setting up and running assembly lines

  • Strong background in Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems

  • Experience with supply chain management and inventory control

  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, 3PLs, and fulfillment workflows

  • Proven ability to implement LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities

  • Experience building or managing KPI dashboards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (strongly preferred)

  • Experience with OSHA and NIOSH compliance standards

  • Background in regulated manufacturing environments

  • Experience with ERP, WMS, and business intelligence tools


Work Environment

  • Primarily on-site at MIRA Safety’s Cedar Park headquarters

  • Combination of office, warehouse, and light manufacturing environment

  • Frequent presence on the assembly floor

  • Moderate noise typical of production environments


Physical Demands

  • Standing, walking, and mobility within warehouse and production areas

  • Occasional bending or lifting up to 25 lbs

  • Active involvement in assembly line setup and operational oversight


Work Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday

  • Additional hours as needed during production ramps, launches, or operational escalations


Travel Requirements

  • Occasional domestic travel (up to 10%) for supplier audits, trade shows, and operational coordination.
