ABOUT FIREFLY AEROSPACE

Firefly Aerospace Inc. is an American end-to-end space transportation company committed to providing economical and convenient access to space for small payloads through the design, manufacture, and operation of reliable launch and spacecraft vehicles. Firefly’s launch vehicles utilize common technologies, manufacturing infrastructure, and launch capabilities, providing LEO launch solutions for up to ten metric tons of payload. Combined with Firefly’s in-space vehicles, such as the Space Utility Vehicle (SUV) and Blue Ghost Lunar Lander, Firefly provides the space industry with a single source for missions from LEO to the surface of the Moon or beyond. Firefly is headquartered in Cedar Park, TX.

SUMMARY

We are building rockets and moon landers and space-grade parts over here, yet none of this happens without reliable tools, innovative thinking, and collaboration. Firefly Aerospace is tackling problems in the “new space” market, which means we have opportunities to extract the best processes from “heritage space” development and combine that with today’s available technology to provide beautiful solutions for these challenges.

The Information Technology (IT) work together to support the flow of information between teams, build new software tools to make production more efficient, and supply various ways to share and distribute technical information to our customers and partners. We rely on several software products, including Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence), our ERP system (Odoo), various reporting platforms (Grafana, PowerBI) and more to keep us organized, so we can move fast and get hardware into space.
