- The City of Cedar Park is currently seeking Pool Managers to provide supervision and leadership over our aquatic facilities for the 2026 pool season.
The Position
- JOB SUMMARY:
Under direction, the Pool Manager is responsible for supervision of the staff and operations of the City aquatic facility as assigned to by the Aquatics Supervisor or Aquatics Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Supervises, trains, and assigns work to aquatic employees, ensuring proper policies are followed, work and safety standards are maintained, and that work schedules are met;
- Supervises the aquatic facility under direction of the Aquatics Supervisor or Aquatics Manager;
- Maintains records as required by the Parks and Recreation Department, City of Cedar Park, County and State;
- Assists or leads staff training sessions;
- Maintains correct water chemistry and insures health standards where they apply;
- Establishes and maintains positive public relations;
- Receives admission fees and accounts for all money received;
- Enforces facility rules and regulations;
- Assist the Aquatics Supervisor in the planning, development, scheduling, and promotion of all aquatic activities;
- Establishes and maintains positive public relations;
- Makes decisions concerning park closing during adverse conditions; and fills in if necessary in other positions.
Other Important Duties- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
Acceptable Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses

- Successful candidates will possess:
- One (1) year of lifeguard experience.
- Current certification in Ellis & Associates National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Training or the ability to obtain certification.
- Must be 18 years of age by May 1, 2025.
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; and
- Other related tasks as assigned.
- One (1) year of aquatic facility management experience is preferred.

Supplemental Information
- Knowledge of: swimming pool water chemistry and mechanics; lifeguarding skills; aquatic risk management; accounting and record keeping.
Skill/Ability to: Supervise and motivate employees, establish and maintain effective working relationships with other Department staff, community organizations and groups, news media representatives, and the general public; tolerate outside working conditions; and work some weekends, evenings, and holidays.
