How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Evaluate communication and swallowing functions to design personalized treatment plans that restore patient independence, dignity and overall quality of life.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to each individual, driving optimal recovery and functional outcomes.
- Educate and counsel patients and their loved ones, empowering families to actively participate in treatment goals and long-term care management.
- Guide patients through seamless discharge planning and connect them with vital community resources to support sustained progress.
- Maintain clear, high-quality clinical documentation that fosters team collaboration, ensures care continuity and upholds excellence in patient care.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date. Will also accept Texas-Speech Language Pathologist - Intern
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
