How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Execute Hands-On Patient Care Protocols: Deliver foundational, non-medicinal patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with bathing, personal hygiene, patient turning, and safe positioning.

  • Command Unit Material & Device Logistics: Manage, track, and organize specialized clinical devices and medical equipment; execute prompt inventory stocking to ensure essential supplies are always accessible on the floor.

  • Drive Rapid Response & Patient Rounding: Partner directly with staff nurses during routine patient rounds, proactively answering calls, addressing call lights, and engaging with patients to ensure safety and comfort.

  • Facilitate Safe Patient Transport: Safely transport patients, necessary mobile medical devices, and equipment to designated departments across the facility.

  • Provide Strategic Leadership & Unit Support: Assist the Charge Nurse with daily operational responsibilities, providing cross-functional, flexible support to maintain order and efficiency across the entire clinical unit.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • Active Clinical Certification: Must hold a current, active certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Nursing Assistant.

  • Clinical Boundary Adherence: Clear understanding of the clinical scope of practice, with an absolute focus on non-pharmacological care (No Medication Administration).

  • High-Acuity Collaboration & Teamwork: A proactive, self-motivated professional who thrives on their feet and is eager to support the entire nursing unit.

  • Strong Interpersonal Communication: Exceptional verbal skills to interact with patients with empathy and collaborate seamlessly with nurses and charge leadership.

  • Exceptional Organization & Traffic Control: Strong attention to detail necessary to keep track of heavy equipment, devices, and fast-moving inventory.
