How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Lead and support assigned security officers to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors while promoting teamwork and cooperation.

  • Monitor, guide, and evaluate staff performance, including reviewing reports for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.

  • Coordinate daily security operations by prioritizing workflow, assisting with decision-making, and addressing escalated or unresolved issues.

  • Investigate, document, and manage security incidents, hazards, and safety concerns while performing regular security officer duties such as foot and vehicle patrols.

  • Assist the Security Manager with staffing, planning, budgeting, and staff development, while safely operating vehicles and enforcing campus traffic and parking regulations.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Drivers License credentialed from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency and 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
