How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepared surgical suites for Labor and Delivery procedures (e.g., C-sections) by meticulously arranging sterile drapes, solutions, and specialized instruments, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Facilitated safe and efficient surgical procedures by anticipating the needs of the obstetric team, handing required instruments to the surgeon, and maintaining organized setups.
• Assisted in seamless preparation, transport, positioning, and draping of patients, prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and privacy in a high-stakes environment.
• Maintained real-time counts and tracking of all instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout complex procedures to prevent retained surgical items and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Partnered with the multidisciplinary L&D team to streamline surgical workflows, contributing to reduced turnaround times and the delivery of high-quality emergency and scheduled obstetric care.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• 2+ years labor and delivery experience
