How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Lead nursing operations across assigned specialty units by coordinating staffing, supporting clinical quality, and ensuring safe, efficient patient care delivery.
  • Coordinate daily patient care assignments and monitor staffing productivity to support quality improvement, patient safety, and effective interdisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Provide leadership and direct support to nursing and clinical staff through coaching, shift planning, performance oversight, and patient care guidance.
  • Assess patient care needs and prioritize resources to ensure population-appropriate direct patient care across high-acuity clinical specialty environments.
  • Respond to patient care concerns and support service recovery efforts while maintaining compliance with healthcare policies and patient safety standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams on hiring, staff development, and clinical training initiatives that strengthen patient outcomes and operational performance.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • 3 years plus previous critical care experience preferred.
  • 1 year plus previous leadership experience (preceptor, charge nurse, and/or portfolio participation)
