How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Lead and implement performance improvement initiatives focused on medication safety, medication-use evaluations, and pharmacoeconomic outcomes.
  • Design, coordinate, and oversee competency assessments, training programs, and professional development for pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students.
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget with a strategic focus on cost-effectiveness and pharmacoeconomic optimization.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy regulations and standards.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to interdisciplinary committees to support organizational goals and quality improvement efforts.
  • Must reside in the Austin, Texas area, or seeking to relocate.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must be willing to initiate the process to obtain one or more Pharmacist licenses within 90 days of hire/transfer for the following states: AL, AR, IA, ID, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA & WV.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required OR a graduate from an accredited Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • MBA or MHA is highly preferred.
  • 5 years as a Pharmacist.
  • Managment and Leadership experience.
