How you’ll make an impact in this role

Optimize therapeutic outcomes by reviewing and assuring the appropriate selection, dosing, and dispensing of all medication orders to prevent and resolve potential drug-related problems.
Serve as a clinical consultant, providing comprehensive drug information, education, and effective counseling to medical staff and patients to facilitate informed care decisions.
Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to recommend appropriate formulary alternatives and communicate necessary adjustments to facilitate continuous, high-quality patient care.
Oversee and mentor technical personnel and pharmacy students in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications, ensuring high standards in quality and safety.
Prepare and accurately dispense compounded medications to ensure the safe and precise delivery of patient-specific therapies.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.

Education:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
