How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Clinical Evaluation & Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functions to design customized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on restoring independent living skills.
- Dynamic Treatment Implementation: Execute advanced therapeutic modalities and monitor patient progress, proactively adjusting interventions to optimize clinical outcomes and recovery trajectories.
- Patient Advocacy & Education: Empower patients and caregivers through targeted education on deficit management, adaptive equipment selection, and strategic discharge planning to ensure a seamless transition of care.
- Supervisory Excellence: Direct and oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and technicians, ensuring all care delivery meets rigorous regulatory standards and organizational clinical benchmarks.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy credentialed from the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- Acute care experience preferred
- Open to new graduates with acute care experience as students
