How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Complete individualized patient evaluations and participate in developing and implementing individual care plans through collaboration with physicians and patient care teams, including patient and family.
- Provide, document and direct skilled and purposeful therapeutic care to progress the patient through their plan of care.
- Instruct and educate patient/family/caregivers in the use of therapy and compensatory rehabilitation in relation to their diagnosis.
- Prioritize caseload, determine patient care needs and coordinate with therapy and medical staff for appropriate assignments/handoff.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Will also accept Texas-Speech Language Pathologist - Intern
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
