How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Monitor and assure the safe and effective selection, dosing, and administration of medication orders under a licensed pharmacist's supervision.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team (physicians, pharmacists, nurses) to optimize and manage patient medication therapy protocols.
- Verify and accurately enter physician orders into the patient's profile to ensure the precision of all prescribed treatments.
- Prepare and accurately dispense compounded and ready-to-use medications for safe and timely delivery to patient care areas.
- Educate medical staff and patients by providing essential medication information to support informed care decisions.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required. Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) and Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) (licensure required within the 1st 90 days).
Education:
- Enrolled OR graduate of an accredited Pharmacy degree program required.
