How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Clinical Treatment Execution: Implement medically prescribed occupational therapy plans using specialized modalities, consistently monitoring patient response and adjusting techniques to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Collaborative Care & Documentation: Maintain detailed clinical records of patient progress while collaborating closely with Occupational Therapists to communicate status updates and refine rehabilitation goals.
  • Patient & Caregiver Education: Empower patients and families through comprehensive education on deficits, adaptive equipment usage, and community resources to ensure a safe and successful discharge.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise therapy technicians and manage clinical workflows in strict accordance with healthcare regulations and professional practice standards.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentialed from the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • Acute care experience preferred.
  • Open to new graduates and/or limited acute care experience
