Technical and process Engineer responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving the integrity, accuracy, and strategic value of configuration data within the CMDB. This role ensures that configuration items (CIs) and their relationships are properly defined, maintained, and aligned to enterprise standards (e.g., CSDM), enabling effective service management, risk reduction, and informed decision-making across IT operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates design work for CI and Asset discovery, integrations, and other data import methodsManage, monitor, review and update all procedural documentation and work instructionsManage, monitor, review and configuration health, integrations, and service dashboardsManage any new requirements or changes to the processResponsible for the deployment of the process. Evaluates performance metrics against the defined critical success factors and institutes actions to correct shortcomings or further streamline the process as necessaryResponsible for the execution of the process controls, ensuring that staff comply with process and data standardsInterfaces with other processes and/or business functions to ensure they are able to leverage the benefits provided by the Configuration Management processDirects, prioritizes and schedules audits; ensures that any corrective action identified in Process and/or Database audits are carried outDirects and schedules the training of new Configuration coordinators Ensures regular housekeeping of the CMDB dataEnsures appropriate security and access levels to the CMDBPlans and manages the population of Assets and the CMDB, including discovery, integrations, and other data import methodsProduces reports and Management information, including impact analysis reports and status reportsIdentifies opportunities and submits proposals for improvement with respect to tools, staff, training, process, procedures and work instructions SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
