PURPOSE The IT Software Engineer (P2) is an execution-focused individual contributor responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that support BFS business capabilities across omni-channel, supply chain, and enterprise platforms.The ideal candidate will: Build and support applications aligned with BFS enterprise architecture and integration standards (API-first, event-driven, cloud-ready), leveraging current platforms while remaining adaptable to emerging integration and automation technologies.Deliver high-quality, maintainable code that supports critical systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and digital commerce platformsContribute to modernization efforts including legacy remediation, cloud-native development, and integration platform evolution that improve scalability, maintainability, and business agility.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, architecture, QA, IT operations) to deliver business valueDemonstrate continuous learning, ownership, and accountability for engineering outcomesExhibit a growth mindset and technical curiosity by continuously learning new integration patterns, platforms, tools, and technologies as business needs evolve ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and services in alignment with BFS standards and SDLC practicesContribute to building APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations across enterprise systemsCollaborate with architects and senior engineers to implement scalable and secure solutionsTranslate functional and technical requirements into working code and technical designsParticipate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and deliver committed workTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues; participate in on-call rotations where applicableContribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practicesEnsure adherence to security, compliance, and architectural standards (e.g., API Gateway, IAM, data protection)Support integration with platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, messaging/event frameworks, and third-party SaaS systemsDocument technical designs, code, and implementation detailsContinuously improve code quality, performance, and maintainabilityCollaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverablesAssist in evaluating new tools, frameworks, and technologies SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None MINIMUM REQUIREMENTTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field2–5 years of hands-on software engineering experience especially in Integration Development & Delivery.
