The Lead Enterprise Architect serves as a strategic technology leader and enterprise-wide architecture authority, responsible for defining, governing, and evolving BFS’s target-state architecture across business, data, application, integration, cloud, and security domains. This position requires engagement across all organizational levels, from frontline teams to senior leadership by providing thought leadership, building strong business and IT partnerships, and serves as a trusted advisor across cross-functional domains. Additionally, the role drives enterprise architecture governance, promotes innovation, and evaluates emerging technologies that enhance business capabilities, customer experience, and competitive advantage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with business and technology experts to translate business requirements into technological solutions. Develop, document, and evangelize EA artifacts, including architecture strategies, principles, standards, and guidelinesGovern solution design by reviewing and approving projects for alignment with enterprise architecture standards and policies Monitor industry and technology trends to assess potential applicability and impact Lead research and proof-of-concept initiatives for emerging technologies to improve cost efficiency and platform flexibility Drive adoption of API-first, event-driven, and decoupled architecture patterns Establish reusable integration patterns, services, and canonical data models SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNone MINIMUM REQUIREMENTTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred 12+ years of experience as a Technology or Solution Architect delivering medium to large-scale initiatives5+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade IT solutions 3+ years of experience leading Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and facilitating unbiased solution design decisions Solid experience in leading or contributing to innovation in digital solutions by championing modern architecture and emerging technologies (API-led, cloud, and composable) to accelerate innovation and enhance user experienceProven experience in application portfolio management, including rationalization, capability alignment, and technical debt reduction Proven experience advancing enterprise architecture maturity across modeling, frameworks, governance, and adoption of standards Ability to design and evaluate current and future state architectures and articulate value-driven recommendationsStakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to ensure the architecture meets business needs and IT requirements.Be a role model to internal and external teams via facilitation and creation of architecture documents and artifactsSupport the risk management process by identifying and assessing potential risks associated with IT investments and recommending mitigation strategies COMPETENCIES Experience implementing and maintaining SAP or relevant Modern ERP systems, including interfacing with other SaaS and PaaS services/providers.
