Role Summary

We are seeking a Benchmarking & Operations Specialist who will play a dual role:

1. Technical Benchmarking – Produce, evaluate, and present sample parts using AMT’s post-processing systems, showcasing their capabilities to customers.
2. Operations Oversight – Manage the facility, warehouse, logistics, and consumables operations, including supervision of the chemical technician

The role combines hands-on technical benchmarking with operational leadership, while leveraging AI tools to streamline reporting, documentation, inventory tracking, and customer communications. This position ensures smooth day-to-day site management and impactful customer-facing demonstrations of AMT’s technology.

Key Responsibilities

Benchmarking:

• Operate AMT machines to produce and validate sample parts for customers.
• Design, execute, and document benchmarking workflows to highlight the strengths of AMT systems.
• Deliver clear reports, images, and data for customer presentations.
• Work closely with Sales and Applications teams to tailor benchmarks to customer needs.

AI-Enhanced Operations:

• Use AI tools to automate reporting, logistics tracking, inventory analysis, and customer documentation.
• Apply AI to improve benchmarking insights (e.g., automated image analysis or surface quality assessment).
• Continuously identify opportunities to digitize and streamline workflows.

Facility, Warehouse & Team Management:

• Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock management and safe handling of materials.
• Manage the chemical technician, ensuring proper solvent and consumable dispensing.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Coordinate facility operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, and safety inspections.
• Monitor consumables, spare parts, and solvent levels to ensure availability for both internal benchmarking and customer orders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work with Customer Success and R&D to feed benchmarking insights back into product improvements.
• Support Field Service Engineering with parts, consumables, and benchmarking results.
• Partner with logistics and finance teams to manage orders and procurement efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills

• Hands-on experience operating additive manufacturing or post-processing systems (preferred; training provided).
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience managing people or facilities.
• Familiarity with safe handling of solvents and consumables.
• Comfort using AI-based tools for reporting, analysis, and automation.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing customer-ready documentation.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to balance technical and operational responsibilities.
